2016 has already been a year full of lessons for me. I took a break from my blog while learning one of the most important ones. Many people don't know the importance of being energetically responsible. I can tell you from my own experience that it is extremely important. It is very easy to remain in a positive space when things are going well.....but what about when they are not going so well?
Recently, my husband was involved in a car accident. He is okay, but the situation was a bit discouraging for me for a few reasons. Because of the situation, and the events following the situation, I felt that I needed an escape. So what did I do? I started binge watching Pretty Little Liars on Netflix. Bad choice.
It is no exaggeration when I tell you that the show gave me trust issues, and made me feel even worse than I felt to begin with. lol. It's funny, but it isn't. If you've seen the show, then I'm sure that you will understand why.
It was only a matter of time before I was ready to trade in everything that I was passionate about, for a regular 9-5 job. It was pretty bad. It wasn't until I found myself getting upset about things that I normally would not even give a second thought, that I realized that something was wrong. I was not being energetically responsible....at all.
Before things became shaky for me, I was starting my days with meditation and inspirational videos, followed by my daily trips to the gym. When things became shaky, I completely stopped all of those things. I only did what I had to do. I was carrying negative energy to my important meetings and castings. I just could not wait to return home and get lost in Pretty Little Liars.
What we fail to realize is that energy is everything. Energy rules our universe. Where attention goes, energy flows. When you give energy to negativity, then it is inevitable that you will attract even more negativity into your world. Energy is in everything, from the things we watch, to the things that we listen to, all of the way down to the people that we choose to associate ourselves with. A simple phone call from a person has the power to turn our entire day around. This is how powerful energy is. You have the power to turn your world around by giving your energy to positive things. Once I went back to my normal daily routine, I noticed the instant change in my life. We have to take responsibility for the events that occur in our lives by only entertaining positivity. This is called being energetically responsible.
Are you energetically responsible?

What's Your Motivation?
I listen to a lot of people talk, and it's crazy, but I hear so many people define their reasoning behind wanting to be successful as "the need to prove people wrong". In a generation motivated by "haters" it is not very hard to see why many of us don't get to where we are trying to go.
As I've stated in a previous post, the universe focuses on our intentions more so than our actual actions. Anything motivated by negativity will only yield a negative outcome. This is why it is important to make sure that we are doing things for the right reasons.
We can use parenting as an example. If you strive to be a good parent, it should be because you want the best for your children....not because you don't want to make the same mistakes that your parents did. If your intention is negative, then your result will be negative. You will simply attract the exact outcome that you are saying that you don't want. This is why it is important to focus on what you do want, rather than what you don't want. Anything that you place emphasis on, the universe will bring into your life, be it good or bad. Energy goes where attention flows.
Another example is when we want to be successful in our career endeavors. I'm sure that everyone wants to achieve all of their goals...but everyone does not have the same motivations. Have you ever heard the phrase, "success is the best revenge"? That's cool and all, but why are you motivated by revenge? You're motivated by negativity, which in turn, will bring even more negativity your way.
It's important to be motivated by all of the right things. When we are motivated by positivity, we will attract even more positivity. +++++++++
