Do we look to our agents for everything?

Hey guys! This is a topic that I talk about a lot, and I seriously could not wait to do a blog post about this. I have to say, that all of my bookers at my agency are beyond awesome, but as a model, the most important things to consider are the things that we do for our own careers. Don't get me wrong, having a good agency behind you is not only nice, but it's an essential....The bottom line is that we cannot expect for our agents to do absolutely everything for us and our careers.

Models must view themselves as a brand, rather than just a talent. You have to push yourself, while your agency is pushing you.

I come across so many models who claim that their agents aren't doing enough for them. It seems pretty silly to have so many goals and dreams, put them into someone else's hands, and say "Make it happen". Their entire lives aren't dedicated to accomplishing our goals. They are there to help. Our true success relies on our own, everyday actions.

With all of that being said, I know that it seems nearly impossible to get yourself noticed by huge brands and casting directors, but the internet makes the world a lot smaller. There are so many social media outlets the give models the platform to be seen. It just takes work.

We all have our own dreams and aspirations. Pairing a positive mindset with taking control of our own success will land us right where we need to be.
